Typical Design Rates:
Hardscape Design Package: $240.00
This package includes creating a concept design for basic hardscapes. This could include a design for a new patio, retaining walls, or flagstone area.
This price includes up to one hour of on-site time with a designer and an additional hour of design time creating your design. Most small or mid-sized projects will be covered by this design package. Complex designs for highly detailed projects or extended revisions are billed at an additional $70 per hour.
If you book the project to be built by Morris Landscaping, half of the design cost will be credited towards your project.
Full Yard Design Package: $740.00
For a full landscape concept design including interlock patios
and walkways, grass, ponds, waterfalls, planters, mulch or rock
beds, and plant layout and much more!
Includes one hour of on-site time with the designer and five
hours of design time. This design package covers small and average sized full landscaping projects. Complex designs for more detailed projects or extended revisions are billed at an additional $70 per hour.”

When is the best time to plant sod?
Early spring or early fall are the very best times to plant sod in Edmonton. However, sod is an extremely resilient perennial and can tolerate being planted almost any time of year. Sod can easily be planted all summer long, but it will require more watering when planted in the hot summer months. Sod can even be planted in late fall with great success: The sod goes dormant shortly after planting and then hardly requires watering in the spring, due to the melting snow in the spring.
Where can I research different concrete blocks or rock available for my patio?
We are happy to make recommendations on quality concrete blocks that will endure the test of time or on natural rock available for Edmonton.
Belgard and Barkman are the two main manufacturers of concrete block product to the Edmonton market. The concrete products made by these manufacturers can be viewed at most major landscape centres in the Edmonton area. Do paving stones patios shift over the winter due to frost heave?
